Scholarships

Barrie Minor Baseball is excited to once again offer scholarship opportunities to recognize and celebrate some of our outstanding members!

For the 2025/2026 school year, up to three scholarships valued at $500 each will be awarded to deserving members who have demonstrated exceptional dedication both on and off the field.

These scholarships recognize individuals who embody the values of Barrie Minor Baseball through their commitment, leadership, character, academic achievements, and community involvement.

We are looking for applicants who turn 18  or have taken a gap year for the 2025/2026 school year this year that demonstrate the following qualities:

• Strong involvement in Barrie Minor Baseball 
• Positive leadership and role model qualities
• Excellent character and sportsmanship
• Volunteerism and meaningful community involvement
• Achieved academic success

Am I eligible for the Barrie Minor Baseball Association’s Scholarship Award? 

Yes, if you:

• Are born in 2008
• Are beginning post-secondary studies at an accredited university, college, or trade school.
• Will be starting your program any time after 2026 graduation, up to and no later than September 2027.
• Are a current Barrie Minor Baseball Association member in good standing, including (but not limited to): house league players, select players, rep players, umpires or coaches.
• Have demonstrated involvement in Barrie Minor Baseball Association.

Scholarship Details

• Up to three scholarships of $500 each will be awarded by the Barrie Minor Baseball Awards Committee.
• Scholarship funds will be issued directly to the recipient’s post-secondary institution upon confirmation of enrollment in an eligible program, no later than September 2027.

How and when do I apply?

• Complete the online application form.
• Applicants are encouraged to provide sufficient detail for all questions to assist the selection committee, including a description of their involvement with Barrie Minor Baseball Association and other community involvement. 
• Online applications must be submitted by July 24, 2026.
• Recipients will be notified early-mid August, 2026
