A dedicated and honest mentor, Coach Jake has spent a lifetime overcoming adversity and proving that limitations exist only in the mind. Born with his right hand amputated at birth, he refused to let anything stand in the way of his passion for baseball. Inspired by legendary one-handed pitcher Jim Abbott, he grew up in Orillia, Ontario, determined to carve his own path in the sport.

As a teenager, his relentless work ethic led him to Toronto, where he honed his skills against top competition in pursuit of his baseball dreams. His dedication paid off when he earned an athletic scholarship to play at the NJCAA level, showcasing his talent on a national stage. His journey reached new heights when he was selected in the first round of the Frontier League draft, launching his professional playing career.

Now a devoted father of two, Coach Jake brings that same passion and perseverance to coaching, instilling in his players the mindset that success is earned through accountability, resilience, and self-belief. His coaching philosophy challenges athletes to step outside their comfort zones, push their limits, and take ownership of their development. While demanding discipline and responsibility, he also fosters confidence, ensuring his players understand that hard work and mental toughness can overcome any obstacle—just as he did.
