For generations, baseball has been part of the fabric of Barrie, bringing together players, families, coaches, and volunteers through a shared love of the game. Barrie Minor Baseball Association is proud to continue that tradition as one of Simcoe County’s largest youth baseball organizations, offering programs for players of all ages and skill levels.
As a not-for-profit, community-focused organization, Barrie Minor Baseball is dedicated to creating a safe, positive, and inclusive environment where athletes can learn, compete, and grow both on and off the field. From first-time players stepping onto the diamond in House League to athletes competing at the Select, Rep, and High Performance levels, our goal is to help every player develop confidence, character, teamwork, and a lifelong passion for baseball.
Barrie Minor Baseball offers programming for players from early introductory divisions all the way through competitive youth baseball, including:
House League baseball focused on fun, development, and community
Select, Rep and High Performance baseball for athletes seeking higher levels of competition
Skills clinics and offseason development opportunities
Challenger and inclusive programming that helps make baseball accessible to everyone
Tournament opportunities that bring teams together from across Ontario and beyond
What makes Barrie baseball special is the people behind it. Barrie Minor Baseball is powered by dedicated volunteers, coaches, team staff, umpires, and families who work tirelessly to create meaningful experiences for young athletes throughout the community. The organization continues to grow because of the passion and commitment of those who believe baseball teaches more than just the game itself.
Located in one of Ontario’s fastest-growing communities, Barrie provides an incredible backdrop for youth baseball. With beautiful parks, a strong sports culture, and a city that values community connection, Barrie Minor Baseball is proud to be part of helping young athletes create memories that last far beyond the final inning.
At Barrie Minor Baseball, we believe baseball is more than wins and losses — it’s about friendships, confidence, sportsmanship, and building a love for the game that lasts a lifetime.
Members & Committees
Barrie Minor Baseball is a growing organization that needs more people to get involved! We are looking for Members and people to join Committees!
There are four main groups of people in our structure in addition to staff, and individuals can be part of more than one group. Keep reading to learn how they all work together.

We are currently looking for people from all programs (House League, Challenger, High Performance, Rep, Select) and all roles (Parent, Coach, 18+ Player, Team Manager) to join as Members.
Members need to attend the Annual General Meeting to elect the Board of Directors that will lead and make decisions for the organization, and appoint the Auditor.

Competitive (Rep, Select)
Awards & Recognition

Tournaments
Operations (incl. Marketing, Social Media)
Joining a committee does not require you to be a Member or serve on the Board, although many individuals have dual roles within the organization. Committees are a great way for new people to get involved!

BOARD OF DIRECTORS
This is where the boring stuff happens that keeps the organization running.
If you are someone that loves policy work, leadership or governance in sport, the Board of Directors might be a good fit.
New Board members are elected by the Members annually at the AGM, which will be in early February 2026.

REGISTRANTS
These are the individuals that register to play and participate in games, including players, coaches, team staff, volunteers and umpires.
