2021 Season....The Return of Baseball

NEW for 2021
To comply with provincial regulations and the Baseball Ontario Return to Sport protocol and COVID-19 Guidelines, the following will be in effect for the 2021 season.

TEAMS
All teams will be created by Barrie Minor Baseball. There will be no player evaluations or team drafts and player requests will not be considered, as there is simply not enough time to ensure all requests are met. Sibling requests in the same division will still be honoured.

CHAMPIONSHIP DAY
Under current regulations we are not permitted to run a Championship Day. Should the regulations change, we will consider all possibilities to run a “wrap-up” event in September.

COVID PROTOCOLS
Each player must bring their own hand sanitizer and face mask.
  • Face masks are not required on the field while training/playing, however they are required off the field where distancing cannot be maintained (i.e. the dugout). It is highly recommended that players bring a lawn chair to set up at safe distances.
  • Coaches must wear a face mask while on the field when they approach a player, another coach or umpire, as well as off the field as described above.
  • All participants must sanitize their hands at least every half inning or every 30 minutes
All participants including spectators will be required to check-in using a simple online tracking form, which is required for contact tracing. Details will be provided with final schedules.
