IBL Baycats Camps
2021-06-04Info on IBL Baycats Summer Camps
To: Interested Baycat Campers for 2021
As we are all too aware, this Covid pandemic continues to exist. However, with more vaccines being administered, hopefully an end is in sight. We all want to get back to some normal.
The Baycat organization has received a good number of calls and e-mails inquiring about possible summer baseball camps. In this regard, we would like to begin preliminary planning for the potential for two weeks of camps during the last two weeks of July. This will allow another 6 weeks to monitor the effects of Covid on the community and especially outdoor activities. In any case, we would depend completely on the protocols set by both the Province and the City who control park use. There are still a number of unknowns, an obvious element will be the number of participants allowed at camps. In Step 2 of the Road to Reopen, it states that camps can open based on guidance from the Chief Medical Officer of Health. We will be active in this regard with on-going communication with the Simcoe Muskoka Health Unit.
With respect to planning, we will put in place the registration procedure as in summers past. Please go to our website www.barriebaycats.com and visit CAMPS if you wish to register. All registrations and financial transactions will be online this season. Without knowing the maximum number of campers allowed, we will keep a list of those registered in priority. In the event that one or both camps are cancelled, all amounts paid will be fully refunded.
We will continue to monitor all associated activities in the next several weeks. Once you have registered, we will continue to communicate with you for the rollout of the camps.
