Major Rookies took the Jim Lutton Classic in Oshawa July 24-26.
Barrie Red Sox Major Rookie team were Champions in the Jim Lutton Classic in Oshawa on July 24-26. After losing a heartbreaking battle with Sarnia where the boys battled back from being down 9-0 to start the tournament, the team pulled together to shut down Whitby and Peterborough to finish out the round robin. Quarter final action saw the Red Sox fight back from a 7-0 start to beat out AAA Pickering. The semi final was a long and hot back and forth win against West London. The Red Sox defeated tournament host AAA Oshawa in a fantastic final game. A super weekend for 12 happy players and their coaches!
