From scorekeepers and pitch counters to coaches, convenors and Board members, Barrie Minor Baseball would not be able to operate without its volunteers. There are lots of opportunities to get involved!

If your child plays house league, be sure to indicate your interest in volunteering as a head coach, assistant coach, or division convenor when you register your player for the season. There will be other opportunities to help out once the season gets underway.

If your player is on a competitive team, be sure to let your coach know you are willing to help out. Each team needs assistant coaches, scorekeepers, pitch counters, an organized team manager and a trainer with first aid certification.

All head coaches, assistant coaches, team managers and trainers are required to submit a police record check that includes vulnerable sector screening. If an individual volunteers year after year, an offence declaration may be provided every third year in lieu of a new police record check. If an individual does not volunteer for one or more years, a new police record check will be required upon returning to volunteer with the organization.
